DancEnergy's Dance Teams
Light that Never Fails
This piece was centered around the message of depending on your village to lift you up whenever you need it. Throughout choreography in this piece, light posts were turned on and off. They lit up when dancers connected to one another, ultimately signifying their support. This number won a Judges’ Choice award. This also won the Dance On at Nationals.
Carry You
“Carry You” was a number that competed with all of our team dancers taking part. This number was focused on highlighting our connections within our teams. Within our studio, age does not create any boundaries as our dancers have beautiful and genuine relationships with each other. Throughout the season we can see our younger dancers looking up to our older dancers and our older dancers looking to the younger dancers to make them smile.
The Mountain is You
“The Mountain Is You” was a powerful number created to convey the message that negative self-talk should never deter you from pursuing your dreams. It emphasized the idea that, at times, we can become our own biggest obstacle—or our own “mountain.” The piece encouraged us to trust ourselves and believe in our abilities, reminding us that the journey ahead can lead to something truly beautiful. With its meaningful lyrics and powerful choreography, “The Mountain Is You” left the audience in awe as the dancers brought its inspiring message to life.
This number received the highest adjudication level at all of our competitions, a Judges’ Choice award, and special awards. This number won the Dance On at Nationals.
“I don't know what it is that I'm climbing to
I hear your words in my head, you said, "The mountain is you"
And only worry can bring me down
I'm scared to let go of what I'm scared to lose
I'm pouring out myself, I'd give it all for the view
And only worry can bring me down”
