Dance Classes
Tap, jazz, ballet, lyric, kidance are all classes that DancEnergy offers on a regular schedule. Advanced dance programs like pointe and competitive dance teams are available by invitation.

We have competitive dance teams that participate in a few competitions annually, to bring our best, and learn from others in the dance community.
Dance Collaborative
Several members of our DancEnergy family participate in the DancEnergy Collaborative. We have hand chosen several coaches to assist in our mission to bring your the best experience we can.
Saturday Children's Classes
DancEnergy's Children's Saturday Dance Class Guide
Saturday Dance Classes are for our littlest dancers ranging in ages from 2.5 years-6 years (approximately).
On our schedule right now are three dance classes on Saturdays: (all ages are approximate and can be altered)
9:30am Kinderfun 2.5-4.5 years - Tap/Ballet
10:15am Kidance 1 5- 6 years - Ballet/Tap/Jazz
11:15am Kidance 2 6 plus - Ballet/Tap/Jazz
We do our very best to make sure all dancers are placed in the classes that are best for their age.
Based on enrollment we may alter the times of each class to ensure all students are placed in age-appropriate classes. Please be patient with us as we figure this out!
What do our Saturday dancers wear to class?
Activewear like leggings/t-shirts or leotards/tights
Please avoid any accessories (such as bracelets) or other items that may interfere with learning)
What shoes do our Saturday dancers need?
White tap shoes (prefer elastic strap)
Pink ballet shoes
We sell used dance shoes with all proceeds donated to a charity. The shoes are organized in the storage room and there is a payment box (cash only please).
There are also bags and a marker in case you have shoes you would like to donate.
Kinderfun should enter the dance area with tap shoes ON and ballet shoes in their hands.
Kidance 1 and 2 will be following the dance boards and should have all their shoes in a dance bag and no dance shoes on their feet. PLEASE PUT DANCER’S NAMES IN ALL DANCE SHOES!

Books are read to them and some basic signs for common words are incorporated

For all Saturday classes we have themed days and will inform you of those as we go along!
Always let us know if your dancer will not be in class.
How will I get dance class information such as cancellations due to snow and other updates?
Updated newsletters are sent before every session
Class email reminders as needed
Saturday families use the BAND APP for updates as well
Information about this APP will be given at the first dance class.
(be sure to have your notifications ON for this app so you are alerted with any messages that are sent)

How do we pay for dance sessions?
When you receive a Session Newsletter this indicates that a session payment is due.
You may pay with cash, check or Venmo (Dancenergy@Lisa-Tenczar)
The payment drawer is in the dance area and we tell the dancers to put the payment in the “Smiley Face Drawer”
PLEASE LABEL ALL PAYMENTS with what it for (example: Session 1 or costume payment or Registration Fee)
Other Saturday dance class info:
Please make sure your dancer uses the bathroom before dance class so they do not have to go during class.
We will only put photos on our FB page, Instagram and website with written permission from parents.
This signature is good for one dance season.
We will have the forms ready on the first day of dance class for all parents to sign. Just put an X if you wish to NOT have your dancer’s photograph on our social media. Feel free to change your mind on this decision anytime it is needed. We respect your decision either way!

We love referrals to our small studio! If the dancer referred joins us, you will get a free session. When referring, please let that family know that they can try the dance class for the 5 week session for free to see if they like it!
Dance Shoe Guidelines
SATURDAY CLASSES - All dancers need:
white tap shoes, pink ballet slippers
We sell used dance shoes- they are organized in bins. All proceeds will be added to the Kindness Piece donation.
You may also buy new shoes if needed.
To start the dance season your dancer can be without dance shoes if they are new to dance.
We like to see all dancers have the dance shoes they need by November 1st.
Please feel free to donate any dance shoes that no longer fit your dancer. There is a bin with the used shoes that is labeled donations.
WEEKDAY CLASSES - All dancers need:
All weekday class dancers will need tan tap pull on boots, tan jazz pull on boots and foot undies. (no tie shoes)
The Teen 1, 2 and 3 dancers will also need pointe shoes.
Weekday dancers should have all the shoes they need by November 1st as well. Feel free to see if the used shoe table has what you need.

Showtime!
We have so much fun learning dance technique for our performance routines throughout the year, we can't wait to share the fun with our loved ones when we perform at showtime.
As we prepare for our Student Performance in May all information relating to costumes, rehearsals, tickets, and other showtime data will be available soon. A show flyer package is released each year with all of the details relating to our performance.
